The incredible falling GPA!

Well, it's official. My GPA is no longer 4.0. (I know, boo-hoo and kiss off, right?)

I knew the day would come that my grade page would show letters other than A, but I hoped I could defend it longer than one semester. But, at least I had the perfect score once.

I tell myself it is because I took three classes in one summer session, that I had to prioritize my studies and poetry just got the short end of too many sticks. I keep thinking that if I didn't take triple the recommended load, I would not have taken a B+. But making excuses doesn't help quiet the little voice saying "Failure!" in my head.

Oh well. Earning a 3.766 for the first summer term doesn't cost a scholarship or cause chaos on a global scale. It is time to move on. Now, if I could just get over it and accept the cumulative 3.900...

Well, summer classes are over and I finished with an A in British Authors 1. While my cumulative GPA is not perfect, it's better than it could have been and I'm happy. The fall semester will start soon enough and I'll see if I can keep the upward momentum going.
